SeventySix Capital Invests in FORTË – Powering Remote Fitness

PHILADELPHIA (May 14, 2020) – Sports tech venture capital firm, SeventySix Capital, is helping to build the future of fitness with its latest investment in FORTË. Led by Founder and CEO Lauren Foundos, FORTË is an end-to-end white-label digital technology platform and subscription-based streaming platform for fitness studios. Through innovative partnerships, FORTË enables fitness studios to easily create high-quality content and broadcast it directly to their members.

SeventySix Capital’s investment will accelerate FORTË’s ability to power more fitness studios and gyms, and provide their members quality, professional and curated fitness experiences.

FORTË installs its proprietary hardware, software and camera systems so that it seamlessly integrates with the fitness studio partner’s current audio and networking setup. This enables them to easily livestream their classes and reach far beyond the confines of their walls, increase customer engagement, and build a larger, more connected community.

“Due to COVID-19, the world has changed, but individuals' interest in fitness and getting into shape has not, and FORTË has the team and technology solution for gyms and studios to stream amazing experiences in their members' homes,” said SeventySix Capital Managing Partner Wayne Kimmel. “Our team and I have developed a great relationship with Lauren over the past couple of years. Now, we are thrilled to be investors in FORTË and have SeventySix Capital’s Managing Director, Chad Stender, join the Board of Directors.”

Currently, FORTË has partnerships with leading fitness studios that offer a variety of classes such as The Dailey Method, Exhale, GYMVMT, JoyRide Cycling Studio, Ripped Fitness, Body Space Fitness and MyStryde.

“We are excited SeventySix Capital is investing in our company, as they are at ground zero for sports and tech. Their investment will enable us to continue to transform the fitness industry by bringing the brick-and-mortar experience online with blazing speed to reach more consumers, making working out more affordable, accessible, and enjoyable,” said FORTË Founder and CEO Lauren Foundos.
